The cat distraction
We all get forcibly invited to a tea party, hear the familiar wretched words, “Hello there, would you like some tea?”
Glass chandelier above table, in the center of chandelier, notice something familiar, a rift orb, similar to the one in count canonbury’s house
At the front, see another person
Figure is same figure that struck the ship with lightning
“By all means, have some tea while you wait”
Sarah: “No fuck you”
She snaps her fingers and several pots of tea pop up, 5 tea pots, each labeled, chamomile, elven breakfast, falteran fog, fae wild folly, dwarven delight
Nim: DONT DRINK TEA YUL
Sarah: wants to aura farm and walks slowly towards the hag
Hag: “the man of the hour has arrived”
Suddenly, another body appears, the familiar aasimar clad in armor, Gabriel stands before him, but notice something different, he’s wearing his helmet, a more sinister presence, (we threw the helmet in the ocean), before he was just clad in armor, now he’s radiating black and purple aura, and a singular black wing strapped to this left side, holding a long spear on his right
Hag: “They would not drink my tea”
Gabriel: “I am here to discuss something”
Sarah is walking on the table
Gabriel: “Ugh the table is expensive”
Gabriel: “let us discuss this plan over tea, please return to your seat so you won’t make Tabitha mad”
Gabriel thinks Sarah is being irritating
In the left hand, same as holding spear, see a ring, extremely similar to rings from before, one thing different, it’s slightly bigger and you can barely gleam that there is a gemstone on it, can’t make it out from the distance but it appears to be black, likely onyx or polished obsidian
Gabriel: “Tabitha, prepare some tea”
Gabriel is Tabitha’s employer
Bloo takes the opened milk powder bag and puts it into the elven breakfast tea pot, makes milk tea
Gabriel was wearing a ring at the water temple
The table is 225 feet long(?) how are we hearing them talking
You hear all the noises equally, as if everyone is equally close to everyone
Bloo drinks the elven breakfast milk tea, it tastes rather nice, nice black tea, personally would add tapioca pearls maybe, WIS SAVE
Bloo is blob, takes all four other teas, pour on myself
Tabitha is a little confused, raises an eyebrow
You taste all the teas, chamomile, feel a bit drowsy, it tastes nice
Next taste very sweet jasmine blend that’s too sweet and overbrewed so it’s bitter, you’re starting to question everything, what’s my name
Tabitha smiles as she has a piece of paper now
You forget how to cast spells
Dwarven delight is very strong, feel the caffeine, this would’ve jolted you back up, tastes very different, this tea is just really strong
Falteran fog, it’s a nice tea infused with citrus, floral and earthy, Tabitha has my name on a piece of paper, so I forgot my name
After the fact, all the teas were tampered with except for dwarven delight (it’s just high in caffeine)
Tabitha: “Are you reading to do some deals, shall we go over the arrangements, I wish to slay the woestrider”
Tabitha, squints at paper, “are you a shapechanger or something? I haven’t seen so many names before”
Sarah: “Don’t answer that, I’m your lawyer don’t answer that”
Gay: “I wish to make a deal, I want to slay the woestrider” points at Yul “I’ll need her”
Nim: “Did you kill the blacksmith in the other dimension”
Gay: “I killed no one”
Nim: “Did you turn a blacksmith to dust”
Gay: “I did nothing”
Nim: “Did Tabitha do it?”
Tabitha: monologuing isn’t exactly my cup of tea, the rings have elaborate construction, a hex of my own
Nim: I want a gem in mine
Tabitha: propriety information
Gabriel: “I will have Tabitha undo the hex if you sacrifice Yul to me and I’ll use the shards, will you let more people die?”
Yul: “Yup!!”
Nim: Y’all both are working with Ruin so no
Gabriel looks offended
Gabriel: Abyss has already made its way into your plane
Gabriel: You sure you don’t want me as an ally?
Nim: “We’re not helping N’s generals”
Gay: “But we have a shared goal”
Gay: “If that thing keeps roaming around and causing wanton destruction”
Gay: “And this is why I tried to talk to Sarah and appeal to her justice”
Sarah: “You just made me more annoyed, you shld take a class”
Gay: “Negotiation wasn’t my strong suit”
Sarah: “I can tell”
Gay: “Imagine how easy it will be if one vow can fell a single god, imagine what two can do to a gaggle of mortals”
His eyes glow white, the walls ripple, the walls are closing in on you, as his eyes glow piercingly white
Gay: “I will kill you in their name, Tabitha, let’s go”
The walls look gelatinous, it’s non newtonian fluid in that regard
Fight
Yul runs across the table
Bloo ties themself to one of Nim’s arrows
Nim walks up a little
Tabitha looks at Nim, “How DARE you run across my pristine ornate table”
Underneath Sarah, a weird portal appears in the table, and rushing out of it is, all you can hear is hideous laughter, you feel a very frigid draft blowing up at you, hear an endless torrent of cacklng that sends shivers down your spine, it warps space, you shiver a little
Sarah and Yul hear endless laughter, both manage to steel yourself
The voices, the two of you ignore them, feel this cold updraft
Tabitha floats over a little
Gabriel dodges
The orb shoots a beam at Nim, the 2nd beam misses
Sarah misty steps out of the portal thing, walks in front of Gabriel, not intimidated by him at all, Gabriel looks back with scorn, Sarah attacks and misses
Yul runs out of the zone, guiding bolts Gabriel, he is now slightly glowing
Bloo readies misty step to misty step on the orb
Nim shoots the Bloo arrow onto the chandelier, Bloo is now on the chandelier!
Tabitha looks at us
“Wow, no appreciation for laughter, ah tough crowd, no matter”
She snaps her fingers, suddenly, the portal area is gone
Bloo feels really weird, see her chanting and muttering, hear mumbling near me
She hexes me, she looks at me and makes 3 attacks, Bloo silvery barbs, give advtg to Nim
3 eldritch blasts at Bloo, hits 1
Tabitha laughs, “I’d stay away from that dearie”
Gabriel’s spear charges up and glows, he attacks, misses, attacks and hits, smites Sarah, Sarah is now frightened, Gabriel is now reeling his lance back into a defensive stance
The orb fires at Sarah, misses one, hits the next one
Sarah attacks Gabriel
Gabriel is not fiend or undead
Sarah smites Gabriel
Yul walks back, guiding bolts again, hits
Bloo misty steps back onto the orb, clear orb swirling with a little rift, speckled with stars, bloo touches the orb, the orb radiates a pulse outward, Bloo gyrates against the orb, the orb emits another pulse, see a pulse of light as if you shone a flashlight through slime, the chandelier and the chain and the metal and candles are getting absorbed in, as you see this little blob, swirl its way into, see flames from the candles and everything gets sucked into the orb, and all that remains is a floating orb, with a blobby bloo inside of it, Bloo is now inside glass, surrounding a rift, Bloo is orbiting a rift
Hear Tabitha say “YOU IDIOT”
Bloo is spinning and is just fine
Notice that the glass looks thinner on the inside than on the outside
Everyone sees a twerking blob in orbit inside the orb
Nim’s
“So Tabitha, now that we’ve fucked with your orb, can you tell us more about Ruin”
Tabitha: “Get that thing out of the orb and then we can talk”
Nim: “I literally can’t”
Tabitha: “Then I can’t help you”
Nim: “Idk how it got in tbh”
Tabitha: “Idk either”
Gabriel sighs, “My subordinates are idiots”
Nim shoots Gabriel, misses, moves up 30 ft
Tabitha
“Get that thing out of there before I destroy it and collapse the rift on your friends”
Tabitha floats over to right outside of the orb’s range
Tabitha opens another gateway with tentacles and black smoke
“THEN YOU WILL DIE IN THIS CHILL”
Casts Hunger of Hadar
Bloo is no longer hexed
Sarah falls unconscious
Gabriel
His spear is charged and glowing purple
Gabriel holds out his left hand with the ring, holds it out and brings it to his chest, sees it glow purple
Gabriel looks revitalized, hear the screams of people echoing in the hall
Even though they’re not here, something happened
Orb
The orb attempts to do something, but Bloo is inside of it
Instead, orb pulses
Sarah death saving throw
Sarah dies
Uhm oops
The last thing you hear the chains rattling of the woestrider and Allie’s face
Ruin is looking at Sarah’s corpse, it is none other than Gabriel, who laments you, “mhm, and here I thought you would be the one, what a shame, what a pity, but I should tell the other this one got snuffed out early, you can still save her”
As Sarah’s life force dwindles, see Gabriel reaching his hand out see black smoke emitting from his hand, feel the gaze of Ruin upon you, feel terror, feel inevitability, is this the end? Or is there another way out?
Gabriel may be Ruin’s chosen one
Yul
Bloo throws the cone of stone into the portal, it glorps bloo into the rift
For all Bloo knows, time is flashing by, but where am I? It feels like you’re floating in space, where is this void, you stick out your hand, “I Have a hand???” you look down, it’s a human body, and as you traveling by, next thing you know, a blob pops out into the same wooded off back room, hear a familiar voice, “Bloo?” It’s SELIPH
To seliph, bloo came up the trapdoor in the ring shop
Bloo frantically explains everything to Seliph
Seliph gives bloo strawberry yogurt
Seliph cracks his knuckle, “Don’t worry, after today you’ll get another corpse”
Seliph climbs down with Bloo in tow
It feels like an eternity
Going down the infinite ladder
Seliph takes his sword, activates it, and stabs the wall, and as he stabs the side, you see a blade appear, golden light slices right through and rips apart the dimension
Seliph pops into the dimension, Seliph looks pissed
Inside the jar that has Bloo, he drops a couple of diamonds and a slip of paper, it’s a scroll of revivify
Because outside, it took 10 minutes, but inside not even a minute has passed
Seliph chucks Bloo at Sarah
Seliph says, “I got this” at Tabitha
Seliph is angry, and doesn’t wish to abide by rules
He points his blade at Tabitha, who now looks frightened, and all of you are blinded by a flash of golden light as he sunbeams Tabitha
The hunger of hadar fades away as her concentration is broken
Bloo revives Sarah
Sarah, reaching out to find Allie’s hands, instead finds blob
Sarah: “what the fuck”
Seliph: “We need to shatter the orb”
“It’s acting like an anchor”
Tabitha: “I spent far too long creating this, don’t listen!”
Nim
Shoots the orb, hits, the glass has a crack in it now
Tabitha
Floats a little closer, casts Hold Person on Nim, fails
The orb attacks Seliph
Feel the stare down of Ruin going stronger
The black smoke surrounding Gabriel grows stronger
Gabriel approaches Nim
He lunges his spear straight forward, through both Nim and Yul
Also attacks Nim, Bloo silvery barbs, gives advtg to Nim
Gabriel scoffs
Sarah
Abjure the Extraplanar
Sarah silvery barbs Tabitha, went from nat 20 to nat 1
Gabriel fails
Both gabriel and tabitha are turned, for 3 turns both must run away from Sarah until they take damage
Yul
Asks Steven the rock for help
Steven says the glass is easily shattered but not by magical means
Yul tosses her bucket at the orb
It hits
The orb now has cracks
Tabitha gets worried
Yul casts healing word on Sarah
Bloo
Misty Steps on top of the orb, takes out a magical club, and bonks the orb
It really gets damaged
Bloo rolls off
Nim shoots another arrow, with sneak attack
Another arrow is pierced onto the orb
The orb does nothing, a high pitched whizzing sound
Both gabriel and tabitha must move away from Sarah
Yul
Asks Steven if she can throw him
Steven: “You have free will, you can throw me”
Steven: “I’ll find my way back”
Yul tosses Steven
Steven is only thrown an inch away
Steven looks at Yul
Yul goes to get the bucket
Bloo
Misty step clubs, misses
Nim
Shoots again, a triangle shaped chunk of the orb falls and the glass shatters
Tabitha and Gabriel snap to their senses “YOU CANT DO THIS” as Tabitha fades away
Gabriel: “You do not know what forces you’re dealing with”
Gabriel vanishes, the orb shatters, and suddenly within seconds we are all spaghetti-fied as we are zhwooped into the orb
We all have different visions
Bloo has hands again! See self holding a great sword, feels familiar, see to your left Astrid, we are fighting side by side
Nim sees visions of happy times with your family and times slamming your head at grad school, remember encouraging peers
Sarah sees a foe, chains rattling, feels resolve because she also sees Allie, somehow you get the feeling she’s alive, there is a way to save her, overwhelming sense of confidence
Yul is floating by nebulously, don’t know where you are, Yul don’t see your hands or body, what are you? All you see is Steven
Hear a voice, “The time will come for you to make a decision. I hope you make the correct one”
And then we are all zhwooped back to Half Moon Bay, back in Steel Alley, but left wondering, you collapsed this pocket dimension but where’s Gabriel and Tabitha?
Seliph finds you guys, “who wants lunch?” in a very tired voice
